The Ravenna Festival is a summer festival of opera and classical music.Over the years Ravenna has become a significant date on the international music calendar by offering the world’s finest orchestras led by some of the most important conductors. The Ravenna Festival organisers asked Fondazione Fitzcarraldo of Turin and InvisibleStudio to join in for a consultancy on how to better use social media for the Festival promotion.
Our part of the consultancy was based on the social media analytics. We delved into the relationship between Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and the Festival website to understand if they were successfully integrated and how to improve them. We then proposed a strategy aimed at valorising the video and audio content from the festival which was already on YouTube but wasn’t being adequately used on the website and on the other social media.
Our consultancy brought the Ravenna Festival organisers to deeply revise their social media strategy, with much better results on the following editions both in terms of views, user engagements and ticket sales.
