BRIEF

The Lazzarelli family is an old dynasty of librarians, in love with books since the XIX century, specialised in selling rare books that are no longer available in bookstores. For their first e-commerce they asked us to design an online brand able to convey their passion and diversity among online bookstores.

OUR SOLUTION

We proposed to focus on the shared element between the sellers and buyers: love for books. Therefore we created the Booklovers brand and logo, to make it clear that this was more of a community of shared interests between sellers and readers rather than an impersonal online store. The idea behind the brand was to re-create the atmosphere of an old bookshop where the owner discusses the best books with his clients. Besides the branding, we also provided web and social media marketing consultancy. We also delivered a complete proposal on how to foster a community of readers through events and initiatives, both on and off line.

SUCCESS

Booklovers is online since 2009, has sold more rare books than expected, up to the point that the Lazzarelli family decided to become a purely online seller, making Booklovers the main brand for their activities.
